European Investment Fund (EIF) – Economic Impact Assessment of Lower Mid-Market and Private Equity Activity (2023-2025): I was research team member and coordinator in the EIF funded project on the economic impact of lower mid-market and private equity financing. Activities included data preparation and analysis, coordination with EIF team, and preparation of the final research reports.

Research Project with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Seville (2024): Empirical Analysis of the Geography of Venture Capital Investments in European Rural Areas, with a scientific paper presented at the Regional Studies Association Conference (2025). Involved in performing data collection and analysis, writing and presenting the work.
GRINS - Amelia (2023-2025): I was a member of GRINS, a multidisciplinary research project funded by the European Union’s Next Generation EU programme to support resilient, inclusive, and sustainable growth through data, analytical tools, and policy-oriented research. Within its research area on sustainable finance, I contributed to research on sustainable investments, firms’ access to finance, financial inclusion, digital finance, and the resilience of the financial system. I also developed the venture capital component of AMELIA, the project’s digital research infrastructure, creating datasets and indicators on venture capital supply and demand across Italy by geographical area, industry, and year.
RISIS2 – Research Infrastructure for Science and Innovation Policy Studies (2019–present): Project member of the Horizon 2020 RISIS2 infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintenance and development of the VICO database, preparation of project reports, organization of methodological training activities, and management of researcher access to VICO.

VICO is a a comprehensive database covering the population of VC-backed companies located in the 27 EU countries, the UK and Israel that received VC rounds from 1998 and 2021, and reporting detailed longitudinal information on investment events, investors, and investee companies;

Since 2023, I have been a member of the Teaching Excellence and Innovation workgroup at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
From 2023 to 2025, I organized and co-organized special and standing tracks on Entrepreneurial Finance at three editions of the RSA AiIG (Italian Association of Management Engineering) Annual Conference and two editions of the EURAM Conference.
